The chupacabras are the main antagonists in the 2013 Syfy original movie Chupacabra vs. the Alamo.
Overview
The chupacabras are considered a member of the dog family and are infected by rabies which caused increased strength, speed, and appetite for food. What infected the species or what the species was before the infection is unknown. The disease that infected them might also have been mange, resulting in their hairless appearance. Despite the species allegedly having increased strength, the chupacabras have a very skinny, bony, and slim appearance. The chupacabras travel in a pack in which they seek to find prey to kill. In this case, humans seem to be their main target. It is unknown if the species consists of any females or how they give birth to their young. A few smaller chupacabras were seen in the film which are most likely younger members of the species. The species was assumed to originally live near the border of Mexico and used a smugglers' tunnel to escape into Texas.
